Bar Angeli is a cozy coffee shop tucked inside Regent Court Shopping Centre in Leamington Spa, blending casual Italian espresso culture with a relaxed spot for lunch or a quick break. It’s the kind of place where locals pop in for an authentic coffee experience — from carefully brewed filter coffee made with a Bunsen burner to traditional Italian-style espresso shots. This attention to craft hints at a crowd that appreciates their coffee beyond the usual grab-and-go routine.

The seating is comfortable and the interior carries a warm, welcoming vibe highlighted by seasonal touches — during the holidays, the café’s decorations create a particularly inviting atmosphere. Bar Angeli draws a varied mix of customers: from shoppers taking a restful pause, to regulars who enjoy the lunchtime offering and lighter bites, like paninis or crepes, which complement the coffee well. It’s a spot where you could easily linger over a slice of cake or a Cannoli if you need a slower moment in the day.

On busier days, the service moves quickly without sacrificing friendly attentiveness, which suits those dropping by for a swift caffeine fix or a casual catch-up. The place also holds appeal for those who enjoy a bit of variety in their drinks — with choices like Irish or Jamaican coffee making an appearance, so expect generous pours if you lean that way.

While the hot chocolate can be a bit divisive—some find its flavor leaning toward an unexpected sweetness and nutty notes—the general consensus leans toward solid quality and flavor in the coffee and snack options. The chicken Caesar salad and crepes gain positive mentions, carving out a niche beyond just coffee and cakes.

For anyone looking to spend a relaxed morning or lunchtime in central Leamington Spa with a focus on good coffee and simple, satisfying food in a casual setting, Bar Angeli fits the bill. Early to mid-day visits might be best to avoid the midday rush and take full advantage of their varied coffee preparations and light lunch options.

A pleasant cafe in central Leamington Spa. Always enjoyed the lunches. The Christmas decorations create a great atmosphere. However, this particular morning we were in need of a hot drink so did not read the menu, just asked the member of staff if they had hot chocolate, she said 'yes' so we ordered 2. It tasted awful, certainly not chocolate flavour being just extremely sweet and flavour of nuts. The member of staff told us it was made with Nutella. She said this was listed on the menu. Okay, but I do think she should have replied 'No' to our question about hot chocolate but that they do have a hot Nutella drink. Some customers could be allergic and others genuinely dislike Nutella.

It's a very nice place. I would recommend you try their panini. All of them are good. Also, I tried a few of their cakes, and they were all good with nice flavor. Hot chocolate in here also is very nice, gives a bit of hazel taste which I like. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!!!

This place is a real hidden gem in Leamington. Beautiful decor and authentic Italian coffee’s and cake. The service was excellent and the drinks were brought out quickly, even though it was very busy when we visited. They do not mess around. We had the Cannoli and they were delicious, some of the best we have had. If you order the Irish or Jamaican coffee’s be prepared because they are NOT skimpy with their liquor! The value for money is really good for the quality, definitely would recommend. We will definitely be visiting again. Such a unique experience and aesthetic, not to be missed.

Dismiss Bar Angeli at your peril. Where was the quirky cues to tell me that Bar Angeli is worth my two cents of attention. I took a closer Dad style look. I scratched my head. I was about to leave and then… I saw it, the coffee counter didn’t include just an espresso machine. There was a chemistry set including filter coffee and a Bunsen burner brew. I opted for the latter, which arrived a few minutes later. It looked bonkers, cool madness. As the vestibule of coffee sat attached to a metal support arm ready for me to pour into my transparent receptacle. The flavour, for me anyway, wasn’t mind blowing, but the unique experience was. You must try this!

The food here is great, and the 【grilled chicken panini 】is definitely my favorite dish. I also enjoy their 【smoothies 】as my favorite soft drink. The service is good and respectful—during busy hours, they didn’t ask me to share a table, which I really appreciated. I recommend 【sitting inside 】rather than outside, as the lovely flower decorations outside tend to attract bees, which can be quite bothersome while eating. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with tasty food and attentive service.
